The South African Communications Industry Association’s (SACIA’s) GEN111 AV Essentials course is scheduled to take place from 6 to 8 October 2014.

The three-day course is presented under license from InfoComm International and is designed to provide in-depth explanations of the science and technology for basic audio, video, IP and audio-visual systems integration. The course builds understanding of the findamentals used on a daily basis in the audio-visual industry.

The course fees are R 7 500 per person for SACIA and / or TPSA members excluding VAT and R 11 000 per person for non-members, excluding VAT. The cost includes course material and the examination fee for InfoComm’s AV Technologist Certificate.

The course is registered as part of SACIA’s continuing professional development (CPD) programme and is designed to assist participants earn the new CertAVPrac designation.
