Optoma recently announced the ProScene EH7700 WUXGA projector; the latest projector in the ProScene range and partner to the EH7500. Available in either white or black finish, the new 7000 Lumen, dual-lamp projector with interchangeable lens incorporates many significant new features.

The ProScene product range and support services were created by Optoma for demanding professional applications requiring very high brightness, advanced features and extensive support. ProScene projectors are available only through certified partners, a network of the most experienced AV installers and integrators have been invited to join the ProScene Certified Partner Program.

The EH7700 dual-lamp WUXGA projector is the brightest in the ProScene range at 7000 lumens, delivers crystal clear images and 24/7 operation to ensure complete reliability. The new EH7700 can be installed at any angle over a full 360° range of the vertical axis, including reproduction on ceilings and floors. The dust-sealed, filter free design prevents dust and dirt from affecting the system – ensuring optimal image quality with minimal maintenance. To emphasise the extreme versatility of this projector, the EH7700 includes motorised lens shift, focus and zoom.

The extensive lens options and interchangeable colour wheels provide complete installation flexibility. Two colour wheel options ensure image quality and brightness can be tailored to the requirements of the application. The standard colour wheel maximises brightness whilst ensuring good colour reproduction, whereas the enhanced colour option maximises colour performance and accuracy. The colour wheels are interchangeable modules and can be fitted or exchanged on site without removing the projector cover.

The EH7700, like the EH7500, has five spherical lens options that use the latest Low Dispersion (LD) glass to ensure optimum sharpness and focus uniformity over the entire image. The ProScene insistence on uncompromising optical quality ensures extremely low colour flare and chromatic aberration, resulting in a crystal clear, high contrast image.

The EH7700 includes a mechanical shutter in addition to the standard AV-Mute function for when a complete blackout is required in theatre and stage events. Additionally, in response to customer feedback, Optoma has included wired remote-in, via a standard 3.5mm jack, for complete flexibility. The remote has been redesigned to make it simpler to use whilst retaining all of its functions. Emphasising, attention to detail, the EH7700 includes two M8 safety mounting points and even compatible eye-bolts for added security in stage environments.

The EH7700 like its sister EH7500 is fully compatible with the Optoma Blending/ Warping/ Scaling products developed with market leader Calibre. To help with complex multi-projector installations, Optoma has included two important new features in the EH7700; the first is Brightness Matching which uses a range of eight lamp power steps giving precise adjustment to ensure multiple units can be perfectly matched. Secondly, the EH7700 has a powerful 3-axis colour matching system, enabling the colour coordinates of primary (red/green/blue), secondary (cyan/magenta/yellow) and white to be adjusted independently to ensure consistent high quality results every time.

The EH7700 is ideal for boardrooms, auditoriums, live events and houses of worship, amongst many other applications, and is available in either white or black as standard. However, for projects that require a higher level of customisation, both models are available in any colour from the RAL colour space system providing the ultimate in flexibility for all environments.

Once installed, the EH7700 is easily managed. In addition to the powerful Crestron RoomView® networking features of all ProScene Models, Optoma has added PJ-Link, Extron IP-Link, AMX Dynamic Device discovery and Telnet support, allowing the EH7700 to be controlled by sending text-based commands over LAN for seamless integration with market leading control systems.

For assistance of installation, Optoma provide specially trained, dedicated support and service teams to their partners to advise on any aspect of the installation, integration or maintenance of any ProScene product. The team is on-hand from the initial design brief and planning phase, right through to the installation and commissioning stages and beyond. Certified partners have access to an extensive network of service centres across Europe.

Head of Product Management, Justin Halls commented, “Optoma has listened to the market to understand what is required for the new EH7700 projector. Clearly, our projectors must be of the very highest build quality, reliability and installation flexibility, but perhaps even more critical is that the service and support we provide must be second to none.’
