The Christmas spirit has hit the Prosound offices a little earlier this year. Prosound has pledged to support local music academy – the Ezra Mercury Music Academy – in their annual charity event at IR Griffith School, Blairgowrie, JHB.

Students in the IR Griffith School Choir stage the annual musical production which is written and composed by Grant Prinsloo, IR Griffith School Music Teacher and Ezra Mercury Music Academy leader. Prosound will provide all audio support for this event.

A one-hundred-percent charity event, there is no entrance fee. Instead, concert-goers are asked to donate a wrapped Christmas gift to go to an underprivileged child at the nearby “Oasis Haven’ for children. Audience members are also encouraged to bring blankets to the concert which they then have the option to donate at the end of the show.

The Ezra Mercury Music Academy provides music education to teens who share a passion for music. The Academy assists and guides learners, who may not necessarily have the resources, to turn their talents into a successful career. The Academy equips learners by teaching them the basics of music theory, the business of music, basic sound engineering, instrumentation, composition and production.

“It is with grateful hearts that the staff and learners of IR Griffith Primary would like to thank Prosound for their generous support towards our annual Christmas Musical. We know this will make a magical difference to our evening. Because of Prosound’s sponsorship, we are able to increase the sound of laughter and happiness with not only IR Griffith learners but with 60 children from both Oasis Haven and Footprints Orphanage who will receive handpicked presents from our learners,’ says Grant.

Prosound is encouraging everyone to attend this worthwhile charity event. The concert will be on 28 November 2013, 18h00 at the IR Griffith School Hall, Blairgowrie.
